On a trip to London in 2014, I visited a small bakery called The Hummingbird Bakery in Notting Hill. This bakery was started by Tariq Maalouf, who wanted to bring in American-style desserts to the United Kingdom.
It was that one cupcake that changed my life, and they are known the world over for their Red Velvet Cupcakes. Upon my return to Lahore, I struggled to find the same level of the cupcake, but couldn’t locate any cupcake of that level.
So out of frustration, I tried to replicate that cupcake and after several attempts, I managed to create Red Velvet Brownies. Having shared that with friends and relatives, the Red Velvet Brownies became popular, and soon enough, everyone around me started to push me to start my own venture.
That’s how Bake My Day began!
However, Bake My Day is a venture that aims to give back to society, and so with the purchase of any of our product, we donate 50% of the money to feeding the hungry people out there. Through this venture, we aim to give back to the underprivileged, and you can be a part of this movement.
In addition, Mansour has been able to get his hands on the recipe for Ben’s Cookies from a friend who spent 12 years trying to perfect the recipes for the cookies.
Since Mansour bakes each item himself from scratch, using imported ingredients, there are a limited number of desserts available.
