About Me

Welcome to my Blog! Woohoo!

I am an architect by profession, working at Sukh Chayn Gardens, a state of the art housing society in Lahore, Pakistan. I grew up in the Red Sea city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, after which I have lived in the United States and the United Arab Emirates before moving back to Lahore in 2007.

An avid writer, reader, movie-goer (horror movies are my thing!), foodie and traveler, I like to review my experiences in Pakistan and abroad.

I have been fortunate enough to have published my book reviews in The Good Life, a magazine that comes out from Royal Palm Golf and Country Club. I was also privileged enough to work as a contributor on The Huffington Post (Huff Post has now closed down the contributor section). Few of my articles have been published in the The Nation newspaper as well. I have also been signed on by Liberty Books, to share my book reviews. I am currently working on vlogs for them which will soon be available.

In addition to this, I co-founded Lahore Book Club with a dear friend. This has helped us connect with a larger group of avid readers out there.

Traveling is my passion as I seek to conquer one new country each year from 2014. In 2014 it was India, in 2015 it was Scotland, in 2016 it was family-time in London and in 2017 it was Spain. 2018 will be about Russia. I am also an extreme thrill-seeker and can ride wild roller coasters all day long.

I have achieved a certification in humanistic counseling from CPCAB, UK and will soon be opening up my own private practice. I will commence with my diploma year, level 4, after which I can work independently as a qualified and certified psychotherapist.

I am also working on a book which I hope to publish by the time I turn 45. The book is about my life growing up in Saudi Arabia and chronicles my journey of how I overcame his hardships in life, especially as I dealt with bullying.

At the end of the day, my life is consumed with gratitude, which I believe is the root of achieving happiness and peace in life.

Motto: #attitudeofgratitude
